Youth Support at The Cavern

Support at The Cavern provides listening support, low level interventions such as board games, inclusive activities and offers a supportive environment.

We help young (aged 14-21) people feel less isolated, cope with anxiety, meet new people and provide support at a time of day when little low level or early intervention support is available from the statutory services 5-10pm). We are funded by Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board for this service and we work closely with a wide range of statutory mental health services to ensure a joined up approach.

Our team of support workers provide a listening ear and facilitate a safe place to provide non-clinical, early intervention and prevention work for young people who are struggling.

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience of supporting young people and/or people with mental health issues. More importantly than that they will have a passion for seeing people become the best they can be. Passionate about being a part of someone’s journey to better their lives, learning new skills and building healthier relationships. They will have excellent people skills and good communication skills.
